Air filter is a device for removing particulate impurities in the air. When piston machines (internal combustion engines, reciprocating compressors, etc.) work, if the inhaled air contains dirt and other impurities, the wear of parts will be aggravated, so air filters must be installed. The air filter consists of a filter element and a housing. The main requirements of the air filter are high filtering efficiency, low flow resistance, and can be used continuously for a long time without maintenance.

The Parker Hiross Hyperfilter compressed air filter range is available in 5 filter grades:

• Coalescing and dust filter grades (P, S, Q and D) for the removal of water and oil aerosols, solid particulates and micro-organisms

• Oil vapour removal grade (C) for the removal of oil vapour
